This workshop uses the Education Tech Point Framework as a basis to help particiapnts plan for effective Assistive Technology Services.  It has a dual focus on providing effective assistive technology to an individual child and reviewing a district’s overall system of providing assistive technology services.  Numerous tools for use by school district staff are included in the manual.  It is strongly recommended that the manual, Education Tech Points: A Framework for Assistive Technology Planning (Bowser & Reed, rev 2006), be purchased for each participant.  Dr. Reed and Gayl Bowser offer this workshop together whenever possible, but either presenter is available to do it alone.  This is best done as a one-day workshop.  It can be condensed to a shorter time period, if necessary.
